Matt has been the pastor of Mulder since 2013. Prior to serving Mulder, Matt was the pastor of Trinity UMC in Prattville, AL and Grimes UMC in Dothan, AL.
Matt resides in the Redland community with his wife Molly and son Matthew. He has a Bachelor's degree in engineering from Auburn University, a Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Duke University.
Matt's heart is for renewal in the church and leading others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
A graduate of Troy State University, Mark (aka Mr. M, Mr. Mark) spent 10 years teaching Special Education at Opelika High School where he was the head baseball coach and assistant football coach. In 1989, Mark became the Assistant State Director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a position he held for 13 years. Before joining Mulder’s ministry team in 2005, Mark pastored Hayneville Christian Church while teaching and coaching at Lee H.S. in Montgomery.
Mark and his wife, Jeri, have 4 children and two grandchildren. While Mark loves many genres of music and frequently fills the office with his favorite Rush of Fools songs, he does not serve in any of our music ministries (you are welcome). Mark can be found wandering about the church, carrying a cup of coffee and looking for snacks.
Mara was born and raised in Montgomery, AL. She has a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies from Auburn University. War Eagle! Mara has been serving in vocational ministry since 2001, but she has specifically been working in children's ministry since 2004. Mara loves working with children and parents and can hardly believe that her job is to help them realize that God loves them, God made them and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.
She has been married to her husband, DJ, since 2001 and they have two energetic boys Eli and Miles. If you are looking for her at church, she will be the one wearing Converse sneakers or Tom's and drinking a Coke.
